Viva Belgrado Live Tomavistas

It’s been ten years since Viva Belgrado began their journey in Córdoba, and in that time, it feels like they’ve lived it all. They’ve played in 31 countries and over 250 shows, from Tokyo skyscrapers to the Arctic Circle, and even at Madrid’s Wizink Center.

Their first LP, “Flores, Carne”, was unexpectedly released on Bandcamp on November 24, 2014. Since then, there have been seven editions of it and nearly 4,000 vinyl copies sold, with some editions selling out in just hours. Their second LP, “Ulises” (2016), was also released with no prior singles or teasers, exclusively on Bandcamp. Within hours, it became a trending topic on Twitter Spain.

In 2020, they dropped their third LP, “Bellavista”, through Aloud Music Ltd (Barcelona), Tokyo Jupiter Records (Tokyo), and Walking Is Still Honest (Berlin). The first 800 copies sold out within days, and they became the cover for Mondo Sonoro and RockZone magazines—a historic combo in Spain’s independent music scene. Both magazines also named it “Album of the Year”, and in January 2021, Mondo Sonoro featured them on the cover once again.

In 2024, refusing to settle into any predictable formula, Viva Belgrado returned with an album even more unclassifiable than its predecessor. “Cancionero de los Cielos” still carries their signature raw guitars and piercing vocals, but now introduces synths, melodies, and even a ranchera track—an unprecedented move for a band that had long built its identity on progressive song structures.

Describing their fourth LP, self-released under their label Fueled by Salmorejo, the band calls it:”Political, poetic, and a little spiritual.” The album has landed in the TOP 5 Best Albums of 2024 in both mainstream and specialized media, including: El Mundo, Mondo Sonoro, RockZone, Dod Magazine, Crazy Minds, and Wave Pressure.

Viva Belgrado is a phenomenon in Spanish rock, and at Tomavistas we couldn’t be more excited to finally have them on our stage in 2025.

They will also be at Tomavistas Festival 2025...
