Las Dianas Live Tomavistas
May 30th, 2025
Las Dianas will be at Tomavistas 2025 presenting their second album “Ya decidiré mañana”.
In the four years since their debut single Te quiero (lejos) (Casa Maracas, 2020), Las Dianas have perfected their sound—sharpening their fusion of biting, high-energy punk and razor-sharp pop, all while keeping their spontaneity and boldness intact.
With an effortless knack for catchy melodies and irresistible hooks, they have made a name for themselves by fearlessly reclaiming individuality and challenging social stigmas. Their music embraces the real value of diversity, replacing frustration, anxiety, and discontent with electricity, urgency, and a fiercely vital, moving, and lucid spirit.
Always authentic and timely, more confident with every release, their first album, “Lo que te pide el cuerpo” (Casa Maracas, 2021), was proof of their unwavering conviction and ambition, especially for a band whose members were between 16 and 21 years old at the time. Even then, they had the guts and talent to cover Alex Chilton and Julieta Venegas; reinvent their early track as “Te quiero (aún más lejos)”, and collaborate on the single “A ti qué te importa (Cumbia Manifesto pt. 1)” with one of Latin America’s most influential music producers, Instituto Mexicano del Sonido—the brainchild of Camilo Lara, who was instantly drawn to Las Dianas’ unique energy.
2022 and 2023 were years dedicated to touring, with the exception of “No controles”—their own take on the Nacho Cano classic, originally made famous by Olé Olé in 1983 and later reimagined by Café Tacvba and Stereo Total before them.
In October 2024 they released “Ya decidiré mañana”, a brilliant sophomore album that quickly landed on multiple “Best of the Year” lists from specialized music press. Now, Las Dianas are ready to bring it to life on stage at Tomavistas 2025, in what promises to be an explosive live debut for this new chapter in their career.
