Bombay Bicycle Club Tomavistas Concert
30th May, 2025
Bombay Bicycle Club are playing Tomavistas as their only date in our country in 2025. A concert in which they will look back to their almost-20-year career with an endless number of overwhelming songs to enjoy live.
As they defined themselves, Bombay Bicycle Club is a band that have been writing songs for Saturday nights and songs for Sunday mornings since their mid-teens.
In addition, we’d like also to add that their compositional flair is one of the most exquisite that can be found in the United Kingdom at this time. And for many years they have been giving good proof of this, flirting with different styles such as electronic pop, psychedelia, folk or indie rock, without ever losing the essence of sounding like themselves.
The band was formed in London in 2006. Jack Steadman accompanied by Suren de Saram, Jamie MacColl and Ed Nash published a first LP in 2009 titled “Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose”. A visceral album, full of teenage angst and youthful abandon. With unforgettable songs like “Always Like This” or “Evening/Morning”.
Then came “Flaws” (2010), which was in the UK top 10, and “A Different Kind Of Fix” (2011). Both albums broadened the band-musical horizons and found their place within the complicated British scene.
Three years after, the band reappeared with “So Long, See You Tomorrow” in 2014. A true greatest hits album that shone as a worthy nomination for 2014’s Mercury Music Prize and gave them their first No. 1 on the British sales charts. After the tour to present that album, they took a short break to get inspiration and in 2020 they published their definitive album: “Everything Else Has Gone Wrong”, which contains magical songs like “Eat, Sleep, Wake (Nothing But You)”.
Among their most recent works is “My Big Day” (2023), a collaborative experience in which they invited Damon Albarn, Jay Som, Nilüfer Yanya and Holly Humberstone to participate on it. Following that trend, a year later, in 2024, they published “Fantasies”, an EP with the wonderful collaborations of Lucy Rose, Rae Morris, Liz Lawrence and Matilda Mann.
Tomavistas will be one of the few places (the only one in Spain and one of the very few in all of Europe) where they will take to the stage in 2025 to review all their hits collected in a brilliant career.
They will also be at Tomavistas Festival 2025...
