Doves Tomavistas Live

30th May, 2025

Doves are back with “Constellations For The Lonely”, their sixth studio album, which they’ll present exclusively at Tomavistas — their only date in Spain in 2025.

The Manchester band, formed by Jimi Goodwin and brothers Jez and Andy Williams, rose to fame in the early 2000s, becoming one of the UK’s most celebrated acts of the decade. Their story is one of resilience, reinvention and timeless songs. And now, in 2025, they return to continue carving their singular path.

Their first three albums — “Lost Souls” (2000), nominated for the Mercury Prize; “The Last Broadcast” (2002), which reached No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart; and “Some Cities (2005), also a UK No. 1 Album with the single “Black and White Town” reaching the top 10 chart as well— marked them as the great hope of British pop, emerging from the shadows of Madchester and Britpop.

With a sound laced with just the right amount of psychedelia and dreamy, enveloping pop, Doves quickly earned cult status in the UK — and beyond. In Spain, they became festival heroes after memorable performances at the Benicàssim International Festival (FIB) in 2000, 2002 and 2005. Those three shows remain their only appearances in Spain to date, all of them etched into the hearts of the Spanish indie scene.

In 2009, they released their fourth album “Kingdom of Rust, followed by a long silence until their triumphant return in 2020 with “The Universal Want”, which catapulted them back to the top of the UK Albums Chart, twenty years after their debut.

Now, with “Constellations For The Lonely”, they celebrate 25 years of a truly unique and unclassifiable band. And for the very first time, they’ll play in Madrid.

Although Jimi Goodwin won’t be part of this tour due to health reasons, the band’s sold-out shows across the UK and their headliner slots at major festivals speak volumes. This long-awaited moment at Tomavistas will be a well-deserved tribute to a band we’ve dreamed of hosting since the beginning.
