Las Ligas Menores concert Tomavistas

The band from Argentina is back in Madrid. After three years, they come back to the city to officially present their new songs at Tomavistas 2022.

Las Ligas Menores were born on August 16, 2011 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 2012 they were invited to be part of the independent label Discos Laptra, the record label of El Mató A Un Policía Motorizado, Bestia Bebé and 107 Faunos, among others. They edited a six-track EP called “El Disco Suplente”. In 2013 they released their single “Renault Fuego” as a preview of their first LP. In June 2014 they presented their first homonymous LP, in 2018 the second one entitled “Fuego Artificialand in 2020 they released the single “Hice Todo Mal” which was nominated as Best Rock Song for the Latin Grammys.

The sound of the band is marked by their melodies, and by taking as an influence alternative bands of the last three decades such as Weezer, Guided by Voices, Galaxie 500 or Pavement in addition to numerous bands from the independent Argentine scene. Las Ligas Menores are composed by Anabella Cartolano (vocals and guitar), Pablo Kemper (vocals and guitar), Maria Zamtlejfer (bass and vocals), Nina Carrara (keyboards) and Micaela Garcia (drums).

In recent years they have not stopped touring across Latin America and the United States where they were part of Coachella’s lineup in 2017. They have already traveled to Spain several times (including opening concerts for Carolina Durante) with remarkable success collecting very good accessions that will surely establish powerful ties with the audience of Tomavistas with the official presentation of their new songs.

They will also be at Festival Tomavistas 2022…
