Queralt Lahoz will be at Tomavistas in her only date in a festival in Madrid in 2023.

Without a doubt Queralt Lahoz is one of the musical sensations of recent years in our country, and now also beyond our borders. Recently awarded with one of the prestigious Music Moves Europe 2023 awards, granted the European Union, she is postulated as one of the artists with the most present and future on the entire national scene, championing one of the most groundbreaking and attractive musical proposals of the moment. In her music, traversed by root and urban Latin sounds, soul, hip hop, and dancehall dialogue with grace and naturalness over an aura of coplas and boleros that emerge spontaneously from her flamenco origins and her personal landscapes.

She was born in Santa Coloma de Gramanet, an Andalusian migration hub on the outskirts of Barcelona, where a large part of her family migrated from Granada. Queralt Lahoz’s creations rest on her tradition, leans on the genealogy of the working women in her life and on her suburban childhood to draw a flowery bridge between past, present and future, which gives her music an unmistakable character.

Her appearance on the national musical scene occurred when she released “Pureza” (SIL Records & Costa Futuro, 2021), her first album, although by then she already had an EP, “1917,” and a few singles. But it was as a result of “Pureza,” when she obtained the deserved recognition for this album, widely praised by the specialized and general press and chosen as one of the best national albums of the year.

2023 will be the year in which she will establish herself as an artist, as well as a year to take risks and open new creative stages with new songs that will be released in the coming months. All this will be demonstrated in her performance in Tomavistas, a gig that will surely be one of the most unforgettable of the whole festival.
