Judeline Tomavistas Concert

Judeline will be at Tomavistas 2023 playing the new songs she will release next year.

Judeline is the future. That’s it. On rare occasions in our history we can find a case similar to Lara Fernández’s in relation with her precocity and impact on the music scene in our country. With her first EP, a work with five tracks and entitled “de la luz”, all the potential that was intuited in her previous collaborations with other artists such as Alizzz, Oddliquor or Tuiste is confirmed.

Following the path built by the big names that have redefined commercial pop in Spanish from our country and for the world, “de la luz” fulfills the highly complex function of navigating new territories without ceasing to look at the rich musical tradition of southern Spain. All of this becomes palpable in the two singles chosen to represent this impressive coming-out. In “otro lugar •  despertar” flamenco guitars and clapping go to a funk rhythm over which Judeline’s voice breaks over the rhythms. This song is undoubtedly a show of force. We can find also another explample in “marisucia • noche”, maybe the track with the most exuberant and intimidating production of the entire album, with a gloomy halo that hovers over the whole song.

Some people say that Judeline can travel the path that Rosalía has built (a difficult path to travel, in any case), but that the similarities between her first songs and those of Rosalia’s “El Mal Querer” exist is something we cannot denny. Aside from comparisons, what we want in Tomavistas 2023 is to enjoy a very evocative and promising project such as Judeline’s.
