Dani Tomavistas Concert

Dani will be at Tomavistas officially presenting her second album, “Posdata,” released in January 2023, at her only performance in Madrid.

Daniela Díaz Costas, better known as dani, published veinte in 2019 when she was 19 years old. She debuted at the most complicated moment imaginable: during a global pandemic. Now, with the perspective that time has given to her, she feels grateful for having had to carve out a path for her career when she had less chance of achieving some acknowledgement. She had more than she could have imagined, and in record time she has become one of the best models of a new independent bedroom pop scene. She thus demonstrates a very inspiring ability to mix styles without any prejudice. She showed it perfectly at Tomavistas Extra 2020, where she played a very special concert, being the first artist to perform on our stage in that first edition.

Now she has just published “Posdata” (2023, El Volcán Música). This second album could be seen as a continuation to her debut. However, it’s not so much a continuation as a vigorous step forward in her career. A new step in which we discover a much more ambitious artist in her musical proposal. In addition, her main virtue as creator, which is her sincerity, remains intact and it’s something we really appreciate.

Dani has become the new pop revelation. A composer and performer from Vigo who walks the most velvety and intimate paths of contemporary pop. With her proposal, she fuses the paths of singers from the past like Jeanette or Jane Birkin with a modern and excellent production by Aaron Rux. A sound of cultural fusion that shines in all of her songs and that has made her a benchmark of centennial pop.
