Los Punsetes Tomavistas Concert

Los Punsetes will present “AFDTRQHOT”, their seventh studio album, at Tomavistas. It will be the official and exclusive presentation of the album in the Community of Madrid in 2023.

Despite their unpronounceable name, Los Punsetes once again say things very clearly on their new album. “AFDTRQHOT” is the seventh work of their career. A quick look at its tracklist is enough to certify that, indeed, we are facing a new album by the band from Madrid: “ESPAÑA CORAZONES”, “TE MERECES QUE TE VAYA MAL”, “HOLA, DESTRUCCIÓN”.

When looking back at their six previous albums – their self-titled debut published in 2008, “LP2″ (2010), “Una Montaña Es Una Montaña” (2012), “LPIV” (2014), “¡Viva!” (2017), and “Aniquilación” (2019) – a fairly coherent evolution becomes evident. Their records sound better and faster over time, maintaining their unique sense of humor and a critical attitude towards everything they don’t like.

With their new work they keep their ability to evolve while being themselves thanks to their truly independent ideals. Ideals that caught our attention to book them in Tomavistas 2017. Besides, taking into account that they also have indelible hits in the scene of pop and alternative rock in Spanish like “Tus Amigos”, “Opinión de Mierda” or “Una Persona Sospechosa”, Los Punsetes’ gig at the festival is something essential for us this year.

What is more, they will also celebrate their fifteen years of career. Their square one was in the “Myspace generation” which could mean almost as much as going back to the Stone Age of the music industry. But actually, their project is still very topical, also partly thanks to being an inspiration for later bands such as Carolina Durante or Mujeres, who pay respect to them and look at themselves in the mirror of Los Punsetes as a true reference.
