Perro Tomavistas Concert

Perro will be at Tomavistas in their only concert in Madrid. It will be one of the few concerts they will play in our country celebrating the 10th anniversary of their first two essential albums: “Tiene bacalao, tiene melodía” and “Singles brasileñas.”

Perro: as Tomavistas as it gets. That’s how it is. They were in our first edition at the Hipódromo de la Zarzuela giving a gig of those that are remembered: four guys from Murcia that nobody knew at the time causing a really huge mess. After that, we met again at two other Tomavistas Ciudad concerts and finally in the 2018 edition of the festival at the Tierno Galván park.

The truth is that everything that surrounds Perro is good. In fact, 2023 marks a decade since their first two fundamental albums: “Tiene bacalao, tiene melodía” and “Singles brasileñas.” A couple of capital works that came to us after several stimulating demos and that cemented the bases of their sound. The one that made its way directly into a somewhat stagnant indie scene and that paved the way for later phenomena such as Carolina Durante, Camellos or Cariño.

Perro have never really left. There is their recent and brutal visit to the last CanelaParty in 2022. But it is true that just when they were monopolizing festivals, they decided to take it easy… and then the pandemic started. Now they feel like gathering the litter from time to time and making noise, which is what they like to do the most. And what a better excuse to get back together than the 10th anniversary of those two well-remembered and chanted albums!

Tomavistas will be one of the few dates chosen to howl together in 2023, so the occasion is more than unique and special for the festival’s lineup this year.
