Allah-Las Tomavistas Concert

Allah-Las will look back to their entire career and will play new songs scheduled for release this year. Their performance will be one of the few that they have planned to do in our country and the only one in Madrid in 2023.

Los Angeles-based band of drummer Matt Correia, bassist Spencer Dunham and guitarists Miles Michaud and Pedrum Siadatian has become in its own right one of the benchmarks for the reverie of sound that smells the most of California, psychedelia, twilight pop and a lifestyle somewhere between hedonistic and dazzling.

In 2019 they published “LAHS” (Mexican Summer), their fourth album, which showed us that the band was facing their most ambitious work to date. In it they expanded, even more if that’s possible, their references and openings to musical prisms (with some passages with a style from The Doors and even evocations of George Harrison) and even linguistic prisms as well, like in “Pleasure” where they dared with Spanish or in “Prazer Em Te Conhecer” where they sing in Portuguese.

They were on the bill to play at Tomavistas 2020, but the pandemic cut short their plans and ours. But finally it seems that the long-awaited moment has arrived and we will be able to enjoy them this year and with a new album, due to be published during 2023.

Therefore, their performance will be a review of their four highly enjoyable albums and the surprise of what the band has in store for 2023, four years after publishing their last songs. We will enjoy music that sounds like the 60’s, but also a hopeful review of sounds from another era transported and updated with great compositional skill to our days, making their suggestive songs generate a magical and irrevocable sensation in an audience of different generations.

They will also be at Tomavistas Festival 2023…
