The Margarita Quebrada Tomavistas Concert
Margarita Quebrada will be presenting their acclaimed album “Gas Lágrima” in Madrid at Tomavistas.
Margarita Quebrada are Ignacio López, Mikel Cabanes and Guillermo Juan Montesinos and they formed the band in Valencia in 2019. They presented themselves with “Laberinto,” the perfect song to catch us, which was soon confirmed and continued by “Luces,” their debut mini LP, with songs like “Placer,” “Tu voz,” and “La finca roja”.
In January 2021 Margarita Quebrada were chosen as “Rising Star 2020″ by the listeners of Radio 3 Disco Grande program, they published their digital EP “Live” and had time to participate in the tribute to the album “Año Santo” by Triángulo de Amor Bizarro, with a beautiful cover of De la monarquía a la criptocracia.
In 2022 they published “Gas Lágrima,” a highly anticipated album with which they proposed to take a step forward in the way they conceive their project musically and aesthetically. Ten songs where they experiment and transform the sound they brought from “Luces” into a range of chaotic and melodramatic synths bathed in dark atmospheres and generational pop lyrics, influenced by experimental electronica and witch house but, at the same time, without neglecting their most pop facet, which positions them close to projects as similar and distant at the same time as El Último Vecino, Depresión Sonora, Somos la Herencia or VVV [Trippin’ you]. The album also had different collaborations at the production level and some featurings with artists from the emerging scene such as Xenia, Merina Gris or Luz Futuro.
“Gas Lágrima” was one of the best albums of 2022 featured on the lists of the best of the year in specialized media such as Rockdelux or Mondosonoro.
