Georgia Concert Tomavistas
Georgia will be at Tomavistas presenting her acclaimed third album “Euphoric” (2023). She is ready to fill Madrid with her songs and make us all dance from the very first minute she steps on our stage and her concert begins.
Georgia Barnes is a producer and singer from London who, in just eight years of career, has already achieved a large number of milestones that have elevated her status to place her among the greatest artists of a generation of new talents in the United Kingdom.
Georgia’s self-titled debut album (2015) was a declaration of intent and at the same time a presentation of a life consumed by music, lived alongside her friends and accomplices Kate Tempest, Kwes and Micachu. Digits is still a live playback of that album, a song very much in line with great new wave and art pop classics from the 80s like Kate Bush (an important reference for Georgia), but adapting it to more urban trends.
Her album “Seeking Thrills” (2020) was a step forward in seeking transcendence marked by Chicago House piano lines, vintage drum machines, and street sass, with a collection of dazzling songs. Since then, Georgia has collaborated with artists such as Mura Masa and Gorillaz, remixed Jessie Ware and Metronomy, and most recently wrote with Olly Alexander from Years and Years.
After a few years of deep reflection, “Euphoric” was published in 2023 and is undoubtedly the best collection of songs she has published so far. The album is co-produced by Rostam (Haim, Carly Rae Jepsen, Clairo) and it is worth pointing out that it is the first time that Georgia worked on her own material with another producer. With “Euphoric” it is possible to see Georgia stepping out from behind the recording table and establishing herself as a unique pop artist. It is the sound of life and the sound of living in the present instead of escaping from it. Additionally, Dave Friedman (mixer of other great artists such as Tame Impala, MGMT and The Flaming Lips) mixed her album with her. In short, nothing could go wrong.
Furthermore, her live appearances are the last element that complete this perfect equation with a spectacular staging where we can find Georgia on her own alongside an electronic drum set, synthesizers and her impressive voice. Without a doubt, a unique experience in the art of live performance.
