Rocío Saiz Concert Tomavistas

Rocío Saiz will be at Tomavistas presenting her new album “Autoboicot y Descanso”, released at the end of 2023.

Her speech in favor of diversity and her criticism of heteropatriarchy have made her one of the most brave and determined LGTBIQ+ public figures in Spain.

In her songs Rocío talks about everything that happens before, during and after dancing: disappointments, sex with and without love, toxic relationships, but also the insomnia derived from work stress, the lack of money and the need for a certain hedonism to forget about everything from time to time.

She did all of this with her previous project Monterrosa, with Eurovision hits and old ballads, as if it was possible to bring together Tino Casal, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Abba, Astrud, Cecilia, and Vengaboys to make generational anthems that explain how we feel. Since 2021 she has been doing it with her solo project trying to unite worlds between the sophistication of Monterrosa and that infectious force from Las Chillers, the project with which she began in music and that was with us at Tomavistas 2019 presentation party.

In 2021 she published “Amor Amargo”, her debut solo album that she presented all across Spain. Then, she published “Autoboicot y Descanso” at the end of 2023. An album acclaimed by specialized media such as Mondosonoro or Jenesaispop that, through the synthetic pop of the 80s, traces a collection of very inspired melodic moments that also, with collaborations such as those of Tauro, Futurachicapop or Chica Sobresalto and a brilliant production, made her project to be at the best moment possible at this time.
