Hinds Concert Tomavistas
Hinds will play Tomavistas presenting for the first time in Madrid the new songs from their brand new album, the fourth of their career and due to be published this year. A special concert in their home city as a stop on a small presentation tour that will also take them to United Kingdom, United States, France, and Germany.
After their first two albums, “Leave Me Alone” in 2016 and “I Don’t Run” in 2018, Hinds became not only the most international Spanish group, but one of the most recognizable guitar bands on the global scene. Hinds returned in 2020 with “The Prettiest Curse”, an album that marked a milestone in the career of the Madrid-based band. Besides being their highest-rated and most successful album for creating melodies of a freshness and immediacy unprecedented in the international guitar pop circuit, it was a step forward when talking about adding new nuances and mainstreaming an increasingly panoramic and inclusive project. Hinds got rid of the “lo-fi group” label. The band that was formed at that time by Carlotta Cosials, Ana Perrote, Ade Martín and Amber Grimbergen had a very interesting production by American producer Jennifer Decilveo.
Unfortunately, the album came out during the pandemic and they couldn’t support it with live shows as it was planned. However, they had the chance to do it at Tomavistas Extra 2020 that was a ray of hope for both of us, but it was not enough considering the two years they spent dealing with the worst luck ever. That almost ended the band as they themselves have acknowledged. But finally, four years later they are back (now as a duo with Carlotta and Ana) and have already released a first brilliant song, “Coffee“, which has already taken them back to the top. It has been their most successful single release of their career so far. The first song of a new chapter that has been produced by Pete Robertson (The Vaccines, beabadoobee) and mixed by Caesar Edmunds (The Killers, Wet Leg). But this is only the (new) beginning. We know that this comeback has some other surprises and that we will be able to enjoy them in Tomavistas for the second time playing our festival after their show in 2019.
