Derby Motoresta’s Burrito Cahimba concert

The five-piece band from Seville Derby Motoreta’s Burrito Kachimba will be at Tomavistas presenting their new album that will be published in early 2024.

They were the big national revelation in 2019 with their self-titled debut album and became the great reality in 2021 for rock in our country with “Hilo Negro”. And that was not all, they even created a new musical concept that they themselves named ‘kinkidelia’: a mixture of kinki aesthetics and philosophy with psychedelia and with Triana and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard in the spotlight. All the most important media surrendered to their charms and they did a tour full of sold out shows with a brutal reception. They even turned the Tomavistas Extra 2021 stage upside down during the pandemic at their concert with us that year.

The five-piece band from Seville has already gone down in history for being the current symbol of the city. A huge band born from the ashes of other minor projects. DMBK emerged almost out of nowhere, as a revealing allergic reaction to the polygamy implicit in independent pop-rock of the last five years. And of course, they were in charge of making as much noise as possible in their path. They had it all with them: they exuded technique and cockiness in abundance and injected large doses of chandalismo into the canonical hard-rock of a lifetime, connecting the cinematographic imaginary of Eloy de la Iglesia with the proto-heavy of Led Zeppelin during their first years. The wet dream of any group of postadolescents gathered around some hash, a collection of Black Sabbath records and some beers.

We are waiting to know, listen and see what paths they will take in their next stride. A big step that they will take with the release of their new album that will be published in 2024. We are sure that their evolution is going to bring us many surprises because they have in their hands the chance to be (again) the phenomenon of the year.
