Concierto cariño tomavistas 2024

Cariño Concert Tomavistas

Cariño are playing Tomavistas presenting for the very first time the songs from what will be their brand new album that they will release at some point in 2024.

Cariño became known among the most enthusiastic fans of new independent pop about five years ago when the band shared a demo with several songs recorded with an absolutely DIY style. In those songs, two of which would later be part of their first single published by Elefant Records, it was already clear what the main lines of the band were going to be. For María Talaverano, Paola Rivero, and Alicia Ros the DNA of Cariño was crystal clear: pop melodies that were impossible to scape from, impudence in the lyrics, and a freshness and an attitude that would catch everyone’s attention from the very first moment.

An underground success that skyrocketed the moment the trio published their very personal cover of “Llorando en la limo” by C. Tangana. Compared to the glamor of the original, Cariño proposed a lo-fi version that immediately connected with the independent spirit and far from the pomp that was beginning to become evident in the urban scene.

Then came the mini-LP “Movidas” (2018) and later in 2019 their signing with Sonido Muchacho and the publication of several overwhelming singles while working on their first full-length album, “Cariño”, published in 2022. This work meant a total success for translating the way young people and post-adolescents communicate in the era of Instagram, TikTok, and Tinder to the language of pop. A success that led them to play Coachella that same year.

In Tomavistas we have always followed their career with deeply interest. That is why they were with us in 2019 and 2022, the two most important years of their career so far. We want to believe that their presence in Tomavistas helped to spread their message, at least in Madrid. 2024 will be their next turning point in their career when publishing their next album and we will be there to continue supporting one of those bands that are essential for our festival.
