Bum Motion Club Concert Tomavistas

Bum Motion Club, the alternative rock band from Aranjuez, will play Tomavistas presenting their spectacular and acclaimed album titled “Claridad y Laureles”, published at the end of 2023.

Based on one of the most personal sounds on the national scene, Bum Motion Club present a first album in which they take a step further with respect to their two previous EPs. Between postpunk, dream pop and shoegaze, Bum Motion Club are defined by what is often missing: originality. Their new work “Claridad y Laureles” is an album of chiaroscuros: cutting distortions, addictive melodies, dreamwave reveries and sharp lyrics.

It is also a confirmation of what they had already been loudly announcing after their debut work, “Delta”, and their following EP “Niebla”: one of the best kept secrets in the universe of current independent music is hidden in Aranjuez.

“Claridad y Laureles” is an album in which everything works, as if it were a perfectly oiled mechanism directed with the aim of a sniper and the precision of a surgeon. It works the coldness and silkiness of synthetic sounds; the urban and nocturnal epic; the brilliant choruses with the vocation of generational anthems; and the strange luminosity that goes through the album, often hidden behind layers and layers of hazy density.

Short but solid steps, this is how Bum Motion Club intends to build their career. Alejandro Leiva (guitar), Pablo Vera (guitar and voice), Iris Banegas (bass), Alberto Aguilera (keyboards) and Pablo Salmerón (drums) face a bright future. This year we will finally have them in Tomavistas after our aim to invite them in 2020 in that failed edition due to the pandemic. Fate has decided that it will be four years later when we will be able to be together. Probably the best possible time.
