Digitalism is a German electronic music duo founded in 2004 in Hamburg. It is composed of Jens “Jence” Moelle and Ismail “Isi” Tüfekçi. In their discography they have three LPs, “Idealism” (2007), “I Love You Dude” (2011) and “Mirage” (2016), as well as numerous remixes for names like Daft Punk, Tiga, Klaxons, The White Stripes, Depeche Mode, Cut Copy, The Presets, Tom Vek and The Futureheads, among others. On the other hand, their tracks have been remixed by colleagues of profession such as Erol Alkan, Soulwax, Boys Noize and Justice. Among their influences, they mention Daft Punk and the soundtracks of films – especially the work of Ennio Morricone – as the most important, as well as the music of video games and New Yorkers The Strokes.
Since the beginning of their career, when their song “Pogo” was part of “FIFA 08” and “Need For Street: ProStreet” soundtracks, his compositions have become common in video games as well as in series and TV programs. Since the end of 2017 and throughout 2018 they have returned to the activity offering a series of very different and open style EPS. Works that are so impactful as their titles: ‘5KY11GHT’, ‘Zdar C1u6’, ‘PR15M’ or the latest ‘UN1T’. The band points out that songs will continue to be released before their appearance in Tomavistas (with its LIVE set) without specifying calendars or supports. This makes their concert glimpse as something unexpected and that surely becomes one of the most intense moments of the whole weekend.
